The other agencies that assisted included the Denton, Flower Mound, and Justin fire departments. The fire in the house progressed quickly where the conditions deteriorated to defensive operations. Ladder Truck 504 from Flower Mound applied water to majority of the fire when it breached the roof. This allowed firefighters to enter safely for interior firefighting operations. Crews were on scene for several hours dousing the hot spots in the home.

Firefighters received classroom instruction, hands on with equipment, observed fire sprinkler activations and spray patterns from pendent, sidewall, and Early Suppression Fast Response sprinklers. Fire alarm systems and special systems were also included in the training. Additional photos are included in the “Photos” section of the website.

The fire sprinkler demonstration stand was constructed by two local boy scouts, Travis Acker and Chris Wellen. They both obtained 8.5 community service hours. Thank you to both of these scouts for their service.
