I moved back to Texas and Double Oak in 2019 and joined the department in October of 2020. I spend quite a lot of time at Station 550 when I am in town and travel quite a bit with my wife and son. I enjoy outdoor pursuits like hunting, fishing, and golf and spending time with friends and family.
Serving on the Department Since: 1997
Profession: Regional Sales Manager
I moved to Double Oak in 1997, that’s when I joined the department. I am married, have a daughter and an awesome grandson. Work and the Fire Department is where I spend most of my days. When I have available time I spend as much as possible with my family and friends.
Serving on the Department Since: 2013
Profession: Regional Sales Manager
My wife and I moved to Flower Mound around 2011 both being from the area. (Coppell & Argyle). My wife, daughter and I enjoy traveling out of the country, going skiing, and time out on the lake. If I am not at work or doing something that involves the FD I also enjoy hunting, scuba diving, BBQing and time with friends.
Serving on the Department Since: 2019
Profession: Insurance Adjuster
We moved to the Double Oak area in 2019 having been out of the country for about 5 years. Volunteering on a fire department was very important to me from my past years of experience, I tried to locate a volunteer department in the area and found DOVFD. We searched for a home close to the Fire Station, which allowed me to be able to be a regular part of the department. I love to travel, hike, ski, mountain bike and sail, and do anything outside really. Very happy to be a part of a great department with excellent membership.
Captain Brandon Miller
Serving Double Oak Fire Since: 2021
My wife, son, and I moved to north Texas in 2011, then to Double Oak in 2019. I have really enjoyed my time with DOVFD, as it is a great way for me to contribute to this amazing community. Being a part of our fire department has been such a great life experience, as I have learned and done so many things I wouldn’t have otherwise. When not at work or at DOVFD I enjoy outdoor activities like golf or fishing with family and friends.
Captain Chip Schneider
Serving Double Oak Fire Since: 2015
Profession: Management Consultant
Since 2001, my wife and I have lived in the area and call Flower Mound home. With our three kids, we stay very involved in their schools, church, and the community. As a Partner at a growing consulting company, my days stay busy working through the toughest challenges of profitability my clients can throw at me in Finance, Procurement, AI, and Technology. My time in Double Oak is such a blessing to be able to serve this community as a Firefighter and to continually learn and grow not only my skills, but the skills of the others in our department.
Serving Double Oak Fire Since: 2007
Originally from NYC, I was a volunteer police officer with a specialty in rescue for 38 years. During that time I spent several months at ground zero of the World Trade Center site. My job brought me and my wife Christine to Flower Mound and eventually Double Oak. Very shortly thereafter I met Chief Mabra/Chief Gaines and they invited me to join the department as they were sure I could put my past training to use and learn the necessary fire skills.
